Click to ViewThis instrument has two types of pumps namely isocratic and gradient pump. Both pumps work on Dual-piston (in series) with variable speed of 80 μL per revolution, operating pressure range of 15-5000 psi. These pumps also have built-in single-channel degas chamber with internal volume of 670 µL and dual-stage diaphragm vacuum pump. The Instrument has three detectors i.e., Conductivity Detector (CD), Electrochemical detector (ECD) and variable wavelength detector (VWD).

  Working Principles
Click to ViewIon chromatography separates ions and polar molecules based on their affinity to the ion exchanger and works on any kind of charged molecule including large proteins, small nucleotides, and amino acids. Anion and cation-exchange are two types of ion chromatography. The water-soluble and charged molecules bind to moieties which are oppositely charged by forming ionic bonds to the insoluble stationary phase. The equilibrated stationary phase consists of an ionizable functional group where the targeted molecules of a mixture to be separated and quantified can bind while passing through the column. A cationic stationary phase is used to separate anions and an anionic stationary phase is used to separate cations.

1. Anion, cation and organic acid analysis from soil and plants. 2. Analysis of Individual sugars from seed, leaf, stems and root samples. 3. Phenols profiling from seed, leaf, stem and root samples. 1. Sample should be submitted in solution form specifying the element to be estimated. 2. Details of sample type, exact weight and dilution need to be mentioned for integration. 4. Generally 5-10 ml of solution is sufficient for estimation. 5. For special sample, appropriate standards should be submitted by the user.
