Instrument Details
Instrument/Facility Name: Low cost and density (LCD) meat macro array system with chip scanner and Chipron software
Make                                   : Chipron
Model                                  : NA
Specification   :Depending on the starting material, additions of less than 0.5 % material from any species can be detected within a background of 99.5% material from other species

Click to ViewThe primer mix is directed against highly conserved motifs within the mitochondrial 16S rRNA genes of vertebrates. Specific capture probes immobilized as duplicates permit the simultaneous detection of 32 mammal and bird species/genera most commonly used in food preparations. Due to the small amplicon sizes (120 - 130 bp) the assay is also well suited for the analysis of sample material which underwent intensive processing.

  Working Principles
Click to ViewChipron technology works on the principle of universal amplification of suspect DNA and further hybridization of the specific PCR product using highly species specific probes coated on a DNA macro array chip.

  User Instructions
Detection of 32 different species of food animals in a single DNA macro array chip.As per user manual
