Click to ViewModel No 700-1 Manifold, incorporating Air filter, regulator, mercury differential regulator, 0-300 PSI test gauge.

  Working Principles
Click to ViewPressure Membrane Extractor incorporates disposable cellulose membranes in the extraction of water from soil samples over a pressure range of 0 to 15 bars. A compression diaphragm in the lid holds the samples in firm contact with the membrane, ensuring proper hydraulic contact needed for the extraction process. Soil Moisture-retention curve can be prepared, which can be useful for irrigation scheduling of crops in particular soil.

  User Instructions
The pressure-membrane extraction apparatus is used to know the flow of soil water at moisture tensions greater than 1 atmosphere. The apparatus can be used for obtaining sorption curves and studying the permeability of unsaturated porous media over a considerably extended range of negative pressure. This can be applied in different fields like geological and environmental studies, irrigation and drainage, agricultural engineering and ecological survey and nature conservation.
